Veaceslav Iordan
Veaceslav Iordan ( Russian Вячеслав Иордан / Vjatscheslaw Iordan ; born June 12, 1966 in Chircăieşti , Căuşeni Rajon , Moldovan SSR ) is a Moldovan politician .
From January 25, 2007 to June 18 of the same year, he was acting mayor of the Moldovan capital Chișinău . In the following local elections, he ran as a mayoral candidate for the Communist Party . On June 18, 2007 he was replaced as mayor by Dorin Chirtoacă from the Partidul Liberal . This had won the elections in a runoff election with 61% of the vote and prevailed against Iordan, who received only 38%.
