Vealøs

Vealøs is a landscape east of Skien in the province of Vestfold og Telemark , Norway .
The landscape is hilly and mostly forested. The highest peaks are Østre Vealøs (446 m above sea level) and Vestre Vealøs (492 m). On Vestre Vealøs there is a telecommunications tower that can be seen from afar. The Norwegian Coastal Administration ( Kystverket ) operates a radar station on Vealøs that monitors the waters around Grenland .
The Vealøs Opp mountain run has been held on Vestre Vealøs once a year since 2009 . A difference in altitude of 350 m has to be overcome on the 4.5 km long route.
