Sven Dörendahl (born August 31, 1973 in Berlin ) is a German volleyball player and coach.

Sven Dörendahl grew up in East Berlin and after the fall of the Wall played at SCC Berlin , with whom he became German champion in 1993 alongside Robert Dellnitz , Franko Hölzig and Ronald Triller . The following season he moved to league rivals Moerser SC . In 2001 he went to the Polish club Płomień Sosnowiec for a year . He then returned to the Bundesliga and played for the Volley Dogs Berlin for three years .

Via TSGL Schöneiche and VC Bad Dürrenberg / Spergau , Sven Dörendahl came to the second division club VC Dresden in 2009 . From the 2010/11 season he was team captain of the Dresden team. From 2011 Dörendahl acted as a player-coach. In the 2011/12 season he and the team reached second place in the 2nd Bundesliga South behind GSVE Delitzsch . Since Delitzsch had not applied for Erstligalizenz, the VC Dresden rose for the first time in the first Bundesliga on. After promotion, Dörendahl ended his active career and concentrated on the office as head coach. From 2013 to 2014 he was sports director at VC Dresden.

Sven's sister Linda Dörendahl is also a volleyball player and was active in various Bundesliga teams.
