history

Several departments of the association have existed since the 1960s or 70s and were later part of BSG Landbau Schöneiche. This resulted in the TSGL Schöneiche on August 6, 1990.

The first team in the volleyball division played in the Brandenburgliga since 1992/93. The first successes brought the victories in the Northeast German Cup in 1997 and 1998 as well as the championship of Brandenburg in 1993, 1997 and 2002. 2004 Schöneiche rose for the first time in the Regionalliga Nord, but again after one season. 2006 succeeded as Brandenburg champion again the promotion and in the following season in the Regionalliga Nord as champion the march through to the 2nd Bundesliga. There they finished sixth in the first season in 2008 and repeated this placement in 2009. In addition, the TSGL 2009 again won the Northeast German and the state cup. In the DVV-Pokal 2008/09 the club reached the last sixteen. The 2009/10 season was the most successful in the club's history. In the 2nd Bundesliga North, Schöneiche came fourth with captain Robert Döbler with 15 wins and nine defeats with 30:18 points. After the season the long-time coach Kurt Radde left the club, the new coach was the long-time assistant coach René Jerratsch. The season finale was again the final tournament for the Brandenburg State Cup for TSGL, but where the team was defeated in the semi-finals by the second division from Lindow / Gransee, who later won the cup. In the 2010/11 season , TSGL played against relegation for a long time and ended up in ninth place. Schöneiche was again the national cup winner, TSGLers Henry Curin and Martin Grohs also won the national championship title in beach volleyball . The following season 2011/12 was changeable . Again, the edge of Berlin fought for a long time against relegation. After a final sprint, they still achieved the second-best position in their history with fifth place at the end of the season. As the winner of the Regional Cup Northeast Germany 2011, the club qualified again for the DVV Cup , but was eliminated in the first round against the Bundesliga club Chemie Volley Mitteldeutschland . As ninth place in the 2012/13 season , the club would have been saved from relegation again, but withdrew from the league for economic reasons. In the 2013/14 season they played in the third division north and became undefeated champions. This success was repeated in the 2015/16 season and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the following season, the class could not be held. Since then, Schöneiche has been playing in the third division again with a much younger team .
