Vedat Corlu

Vedat Çorlu (* 1964 in Istanbul ) is a publisher and literary translator from German into Turkish. Since 2007 he has also been translating from Turkish into German together with his wife Sabine.

Çorlu worked as chief editor at a number of Turkish publishers. In 1988 he founded his own publishing house with Ara Yayincilik in his hometown. His work as a German translator began in the mid-1990s and includes works from Erich Kästner to Franz Kafka .

In 2013, the couple with angels are male by Hamdi Koc also translated a novel from Turkish into German for the first time.
