Julika Muriel Sandt (born September 22, 1971 in Hildesheim ) is a Bavarian politician ( FDP ). She is the deputy leader of the FDP parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament.

Personal and professional

Sandt studied art history, German and philosophy a. a. at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After completing her master's degree, she worked as a journalist for the Pribag business editorial team in the areas of print, radio, television and the Internet. Before moving into the state parliament , she was head of the press office and was responsible for press and public relations work and as editor-in-chief for the magazines of the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists . She returned there in 2014 and headed the Public Affairs department. After successfully running for the Bavarian state elections in 2018, she is a member of the 18th Bavarian state parliament. Sandt has been working as a communications consultant since 2018 and reports as a freelance journalist with a focus on economics and health policy. a. for the doctors newspaper . Julika Sandt lives with her daughter near the Isar in Munich.

Party and political positions

Julika Sandt joined the Bavarian FDP in 2004 . In 2006 she became deputy chairwoman and press spokeswoman for the FDP city association in Munich. She is currently involved in the Munich South District Executive. Politically, Sandt u. a. for good and needs-based childcare - from daycare to all-day school. One of her central concerns is the promotion of media literacy and digital learning in schools. In addition, she is committed to Munich as a film location. In health policy, Sandt is primarily concerned with good conditions for human and high-quality treatment of patients. This also includes maintaining freelance structures as well as the free choice of doctor and therapy.

Public offices

In the 2005 Bundestag election , she doubled as a candidate in the Munich-South constituency from just under 6 to 12 percent. Since 2008 she has been a member of the Munich District Committee 19 ( Thalkirchen-Obersendling-Forstenried-Fürstenried-Solln ).

In the state elections in 2008 she ran in the district of Munich-Giesing , which extends from Giesing and Harlaching to Sendling, Thalkirchen and Solln to Forstenried. She was elected to the state parliament via the FDP district list of Upper Bavaria . There she represented the FDP in the committee for education, youth and sport and in the committee for petitions and complaints . She was spokeswoman for the parliamentary group for culture, media, youth and sport. In addition, Julika Sandt was a member of the State Monument Council , the State Sports Advisory Board, the Advisory Board of the House of Bavarian History and the State Parliament's Citizenship Culture Prize.

After the FDP was unable to overcome the five percent hurdle in the state elections in Bavaria in 2013 , its mandate ended. Sandt ran again in the Bavarian state election in 2018 for the FDP in constituency 103 and in 13th place on the Upper Bavarian list for the Bavarian state parliament and was re-elected to the state parliament. Sandt is currently a member of the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs, Youth and Family.

Sandt is also involved in various organizations outside of politics, including the state board of the Bavarian Journalists' Association (BJV).
