State Monument Council (Bavaria)

The State Monument to under Article 14 of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act participate in the execution of the Monument Protection Act of 1 October 1,973th The state government is not bound by the decisions of the state monument council.

history

The State Monument Council is appointed by the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art . It includes representatives from political parties, municipalities, churches, private monument owners, architects, the Academy of Fine Arts , the National Association for Homeland Care, as well as experts from the field of art history and prehistory. The State Monument Council sees itself as a forum for the exchange of opinions and interests.

The constituent meeting of the State Monument Council took place on November 16, 1973. The committee elects a chairman and two deputies. The four regional committees prepare the draft resolutions for the monthly deliberations.

The determination of monument ensembles developed into the main field of activity of the State Monument Council.
