The constituency of Munich-Giesing (constituency 103) is one of the nine constituencies of the city of Munich in elections to the Bavarian State Parliament and the District Parliament of Upper Bavaria . It belongs to the constituency of Upper Bavaria and, since the state election in 2018, has included the city districts 6 ( Sendling ) and 17 ( Obergiesing-Fasangarten ), the city district 18 ( Untergiesing-Harlaching ) without the city district quarters 18.11, 18.12 (Untergiesing) and the city district 18 ( Thalkirchen-Obersendling -Forstenried-Fürstenried-Solln ) without the district quarters 19:32, 19:33, 19:35 (parts of Forstenried) and 19:41 to 19:44 (Fürstenried). In 2018, 123,505 residents were eligible to vote in the state elections.

The electoral district of Munich-Giesing (Sendling, Obergiesing-Fasangarten, Untergiesing-Harlaching), which existed for the state elections in 1998 , was enlarged by parts of the disbanded district of Munich-Fürstenried (Thalkirchen, Obersendling, Solln) for the state elections in 2003 . To state election in 2018 Untergiesing was to the new voting district Munich-center issued.

In addition to the constituency winner Gülserin Demirel (GRÜNE), who won the direct mandate for her party for the first time, the direct candidates from SPD (Florian von Brunn), Free Voters (Michael Piazolo), FDP (Julika Sandt) and AfD (Uli Henkel) were District lists of their parties elected to the Landtag. The previous constituency member Andreas Lorenz (CSU), who had been a member of the state parliament since 2008, missed re-entry into parliament after losing his direct mandate.

In the state elections on September 15, 2013, 130,619 residents were eligible to vote. The turnout was 63.4%. The result was the following:

State election 2008

In the 2008 state elections , 126,676 residents were eligible to vote in the constituency. The turnout was 57.2%. Andreas Lorenz won the direct mandate in constituency 103 with 30.4 percent of the first votes. The SPD direct candidate Adelheid Rupp came in next with 27.9 percent of the first votes. In the total votes of the constituency (first and second votes together) the CSU achieved 30.3 percent, the SPD 27.4 percent, the Greens 15.9 percent and the FDP 12.7 percent.

State election 2003

In the election on September 21, 2003, Joachim Haedke (CSU) won the direct mandate in constituency 103 with 46.0 percent of the first votes. Next-placed was the SPD direct candidate Adelheid Rupp with 32.4 percent of the first votes. In the total votes of the constituency (first and second votes together), the CSU achieved 47.5 percent, the SPD 30.5 percent, the Greens 12.8 percent and the FDP 4.3 percent.

State election 1998

In the 1998 state elections, the CSU received 46.7 percent of the total votes in the constituency (first and second votes together), the SPD 33.1 percent, the Greens 10.1 percent and the FDP 2.8 percent.
