Adelheid Rupp (born September 16, 1958 in Geislingen an der Steige ) is a lawyer. From 2003 to 2013 she was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

education and profession

From 1979 to 1983 Adelheid Rupp studied German, history and philosophy for teaching at the Pedagogical University of Esslingen am Neckar (degree: 1st state examination ) and from 1987 to 1992 law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After the 2nd state examination in law in 1994, she has been working as an independent lawyer in Innerthann (municipality of Tuntenhausen) since 1995 . Before that, she worked as a consultant, initially for the parliamentary group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and then for the parliamentary group of the SPD.

During her studies, Adelheid Rupp was involved in the student union, initially at the PH Esslingen and later at the LMU Munich.

In 1989 Adelheid Rupp joined the SPD , where she performed various functions on site and in working groups. Since 2001 she has been a member of the SPD state board of Bavaria. From 2002 to 2007 she was deputy chairwoman of the SPD Munich. In 2006 she was elected as the state chairman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women (AsF) . From 2007 to 2009 she was deputy state chairwoman of the SPD in Bavaria.

Adelheid Rupp was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 2003 to 2013 . There she was a member of the Committee on Legal, Constitutional and Parliamentary Issues and the Committee on Universities, Research and Culture. She was also spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group for women's policy. Adelheid Rupp was elected via the constituency list of Upper Bavaria.

In the state elections in 2008 she ran unsuccessfully in the district of Munich-Giesing , but was elected to the state parliament via the district list of Upper Bavaria . At the beginning of the new electoral term, she was deputy chairwoman of the Committee on State Budget and Financial Matters and budgetary spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group. After differences of opinion within the faction, however, she lost this position in October 2009 to Volkmar halibib . She then belonged to the Committee for Federal and European Affairs and the Committee for Universities, Research and Culture.

In 2011, part of her parliamentary salary was seized after she lost a labor court case against a former employee and failed to meet her payment obligations.

On October 28, 2011, Adelheid Rupp was nominated by the SPD local association Bad Reichenhall as a candidate for the mayoral election due there in March 2012, in which she achieved third place with 12.8% of the votes.

In addition to her home district, she was also a member of the Ebersberg and Berchtesgadener Land districts .

At the end of the 16th electoral term of the Bavarian State Parliament , Rupp resigned there in autumn 2013. She did not run for the 2013 state election and has been working again as a lawyer in her place of residence in Innerthann since September 1, 2014.
