The constituency of Munich-Bogenhausen (constituency 102) is one of the nine constituencies of the city of Munich in elections to the Bavarian State Parliament and the District Parliament of Upper Bavaria . It belongs to the constituency of Upper Bavaria and since the state elections in 2018 has included the districts 13 ( Bogenhausen ) and 14 ( Berg am Laim ) as well as the districts 5.11, 5.12 (Maximilianeum), 5.21 and 5.22 (Steinhausen) from district 5 ( Au-Haidhausen ). In 2018, 85,705 residents were eligible to vote in the state elections.

The electoral district of Munich-Bogenhausen (Bogenhausen, Berg am Laim), which existed for the state elections in 1998 , was enlarged to include parts of the district of Munich-Schwabing (Maximilianeum, Steinhausen, Haidhausen) and the dissolved district of Munich-Altstadt (Au) for the state elections in 2003 . For the 2018 state elections , Haidhausen and the Au were transferred to the new Munich-Mitte district .

In elections to the German Bundestag , the districts of the constituency are combined with others to form the larger Munich-East constituency .

State election 1998

In the 1998 state elections, the CSU achieved 46.5 percent of the total votes in the constituency (first and second votes together), the SPD 32.6 percent, the Greens 11.1 percent and the FDP 2.8 percent.

State election 2003

In the election on September 21, 2003, Thomas Zimmermann (CSU) won the direct mandate in constituency 102 with 45.2 percent of the first votes. The SPD direct candidate Hans-Ulrich Pfaffmann came in next with 30.2 percent of the first votes. In the total votes of the constituency (first and second votes together) the CSU achieved 46.6 percent, the SPD 29.8 percent, the Greens 14.0 percent and the FDP 4.8 percent.

In the state elections on September 28, 2008 , 66,746 of the 115,060 voters in the Munich-Bogenhausen constituency took part in the election. The voter turnout was 58.0%, 2.8% more than in 2003.

Results

As a direct candidate, Thomas Zimmermann was elected by the CSU with 31.0% of the first votes in the Bavarian state parliament. The direct candidates from the SPD, FDP and the Greens were also able to move into the state parliament via the constituency lists.

District election

Participation

The district election also took place on September 28, 2008 parallel to the state election. Of the 114,815 eligible voters in the Munich-Bogenhausen electoral district, 66,650 took part in the election. As in the state elections, the turnout was 58.0%.

Results

Anton Spitlbauer was elected as a direct candidate by the CSU with 30.0% of the first votes in the Upper Bavaria District Assembly.

In the state election on September 15, 2013 , of the 118,543 eligible voters (+3,483 compared to 2008) in the Munich-Bogenhausen district, 75,665 took part in the election (+8,919 compared to 2008). The turnout was 63.8%, 5.8% more than in 2008.
