The district of Traunstein (district 130) is a district in Upper Bavaria . It includes the large district town of Traunstein , the cities of Traunreut and Trostberg and the communities of Altenmarkt adAlz , Bergen , Chieming , Engelsberg , Grabenstätt , Grassau , Inzell , Kienberg , Marquartstein , Nussdorf , Obing , Palling , Pittenhart , Reit im Winkl , Ruhpolding , Schleching , Schnaitsee , Seeon-Seebruck , Siegsdorf , Staudach-Egerndach , Surberg , Tacherting , Übersee , Unterwössen and Vachendorf in the Traunstein district . A total of 113,089 residents were eligible to vote in the state elections on October 14, 2018.

In addition to the directly elected constituency member Klaus Steiner (CSU), the direct candidates of the Greens, Gisela Sengl, ud the AfD, Markus Plenk, were elected to the state parliament via the respective district lists of their parties. Plenk left the AfD in April 2019 and has been non-attached since then.
