The constituency of Munich East (constituency 218, constituency 219 in the 2009 and 2013 federal elections) has been a federal constituency in Bavaria since 1949 . It comprises the Munich districts of Altstadt-Lehel , Au-Haidhausen , Berg am Laim , Bogenhausen , Ramersdorf-Perlach and Trudering-Riem . In the 2009 federal election , 231,017 residents were eligible to vote. If the party membership of the direct mandate holder changed several times after the Second World War, the constituency was won in all elections since 1976 by the respective CSU candidate.
