History and description

On a round stone column sits a tabernacle adorned with grape garlands on the underside , on which a simple stone cross sits. On the side facing the street there is a picture from 2003 painted on a sheet metal plate .

It was made by the academic painter Dimov and depicts Saint Vitus in a cauldron. One side of the cauldron shows torturers in Roman uniforms and the other shows people in a procession . This work replaces an older portrait that was destroyed by rust . This represented St. Vitus in a kettle filled with oil with four torturers, one of whom is putting wood into the fire burning under the kettle. An angel with outspread hands was in the background.

Below the picture is an oval stone tablet, also decorated with garlands of grapes, with the inscription " H. Vitus bitt fir - uns, damti Gott ale - Schaur and harmful - thunderstorms turn away - from us 1716 "
