Alois Pushnik

Alois Puschnik (born July 7, 1922 in Marburg an der Drau ; † February 6, 2007 in Groß-Reipersdorf , Lower Austria ) was an Austrian homeland researcher .

Life

After graduating from the Bundesgymnasium Horn, Puschnik worked in various management positions at the Austrian Federal Railways . He used his free time to study history at the University of Vienna . Through his marriage to Friederike Pracht, he came to Groß-Reipersdorf near Pulkau . This area subsequently became the focus of his local history endeavors.

Puschnik dealt with the history of the important stonemason family Pracht, made contributions to historical works about Pulkau, wrote a list of houses in Pulkau and wrote about the chapel of Reipersdorf. He was a constant companion and collaborator of his son Herbert Puschnik .

A main topic of his local history occupation was the inventory of the sacral small monuments of the Pulkau area.
