The Vela Rika (krčka Suha Ričina), (Eng. Large River) is the only significant flowing water on the Croatian island of Krk .

The Vela Rika arises in the mountainous southwest of the island, on the Veli Hlam (442 m). The two only island waterfalls in the Adriatic, the Velababa waterfall and the Žanac waterfall, are located directly below the source. Then it flows in the valley between the two main branches of the mountains towards Baska and flows into the Kvarner Bay at the beach there .

The Vela Riko is said to be seasonally suitable for kayaking.
