Velvet (born November 5, 1975 in Helsingborg , Sweden , actually Jenny Marielle Pettersson ) is a Swedish pop singer .

Since 2005 she has released several singles and two albums. Her first single was a cover version of the hit Rock Down To (Electric Avenue) by Eddy Grant , this song became a long-running hit in Northern and Eastern Europe.

The follow-up singles Don't Stop Moving and Mi Amore were very successful in 2006 in some European countries such as Poland , Bulgaria and Sweden.

However, it only became more well-known with the fourth single Fix Me in mid-2007, this song even became known in Germany. In August 2007 a fifth single Chemistry was also released.
