Vendula Schwarzová

Vendula Schwarzová (born September 21, 1939 - † May 12, 2011 in Prague ) was a Czechoslovak table tennis player . She took part in three world championships and one European championship in the 1950s and 1960s .

Career

Vendula Schwarzová was nominated for a world championship for the first time at the age of 18 . At the 1961 World Cup , the defensive player finished fourth with the team. In 1963 she was nowhere near medals.

In the individual competition at the European Championship in 1960 , she defeated Angelica Rozeanu 3-0 in the second round and reached the quarter-finals after defeating Agnes Simon , where she was defeated by Ilona Kerekes. In the team, Schwarzová won bronze together with Eva Kroupová and Libuše Grafková.

1961 Vendula Schwarzová was in the ITTF world rankings in place 21-27. In 1963 she won the Czechoslovak national championship in singles.

Private

Vendula Schwarzová was married to Luděk Fuček, with whom they had one child. Fučková-Schwarzová died unexpectedly on May 12, 2011, five days earlier she had attended an early celebration for Květa Chylíková's 80th birthday.
