Venturer is now the common name for hydraulic simulators . A passenger cell is mounted on three hydraulic cylinders and is moved synchronously with a film projected in the capsule . This is controlled by an external film computer. These simulators mostly show special films and computer animations.

The Venturer Simulator was built in various sizes for 2 to 14 people by Thomson Simulation and was designed as a portable and static system. Over 70 systems have been installed in Germany alone. There are over 650 systems of this type worldwide.

In addition to the Thomson simulators, there are other manufacturers such as ASTROJET and MacFadden.

Special versions use a common canvas for several movement units.
