Venus GP ( Japanese ヴ ィ ー ナ ス GP , Vīnasu GP ) in the amusement park Space World in the district of Yahatahigashi in Kitakyūshū , Japan, was a steel roller coaster from the model Custom Looping Coaster by the manufacturer Maurer , which was opened on February 13, 1996 as Venus . For the 2007 season it was renamed the Venus GP . On December 31, 2017, it was closed along with the rest of the park. It is scheduled to reopen in 2019 in the Japanese Rusutsu Resort .
The 1040 m long track reaches a height of 40 m and has a looping in front of a model space shuttle . With a maximum gradient of 60 °, the trains reach a top speed of 86 km / h and develop 5.2 g.

The Venus GP trains each have twelve cars. Two people (in a row) can be seated in each carriage.
