Vera Albrecht
Vera Albrecht (* 1927 in Berlin ) is a German translator .
Life
From 1941 to 1945 she completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. From 1947 she worked as a language teacher and translator, from 1953 to 1982 as an editor at the children's book publisher in Berlin. In 1989 she received the translator award for children's literature. Vera Albrecht translated, among others, Vladimir Tendryakov , Konstantin Fedin , Sergei Michalkow and Maria Prileshajewa .
