Vera Nemirova
Vera Nemirova ( Bulgarian Вера Немирова ; * 1972 in Sofia , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian-German opera director .
Career
Vera Nemirova has lived in Germany since 1982 and studied music theater directing at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin , taking master classes primarily with Ruth Berghaus and Peter Konwitschny . Since 1996 she has worked as a director at various European theaters, including the Teatro Liceu Barcelona , the Berlin State Opera , the Bonn Opera , the Magdeburg Theater , the Bucharest National Opera , the Freiburg Theater , the Graz Opera , the Hamburg State Opera , the Lucerne Theater , the Salzburg Festival and the Vienna State Opera . From 2010 to 2012 she worked on Richard Wagner's Ring des Nibelungen at the Frankfurt Opera .
