Vera from Pentz

Vera von Pentz (born December 16, 1966 in Essen ) is a German lawyer and since 2009 a judge at the Federal Court of Justice (BGH).

Career

She began her career in the judicial service in 1994, where she was initially employed by the public prosecutor's offices in Mannheim and Heidelberg as well as at the Heidelberg district and regional court . In 1997 Vera von Pentz was appointed judge at the Heidelberg Regional Court. From 2000 to 2004 she was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice , where she worked as a research assistant in the VI. Civil Senate was active. Judge at the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe it was 2005. In January 2009 she was appointed Judge of the Federal Court. At the BGH it belongs to the VI. Civil division of the court, of which she has been deputy chairman since December 2016. The VI. Senate is primarily responsible for cases from tort law . From 2010 to the end of 2019 she was also a member of the Senate for Notary Matters of the BGH.
