According to Section 38 of the Model Ordinance on Places of Assembly (MVStättVO), the organizer of an event must appoint an event manager . This person is a natural person, has far-reaching powers and, in the event of danger, can determine measures such as an interruption or termination of the event. The role and powers of the event management must be clear to all those present. It is important that the chair of the organizing committee and the event management are two different people, as the tasks differ significantly. The committee is responsible for external representation, the management for security.

Obligations of the event manager
