Association of Portuguese Companies in Germany

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Association of Portuguese Companies in Germany (VPU) is an association of entrepreneurs, self-employed and freelancers working in Germany with a connection to Portugal .

The association was founded in 1996 as a registered association in Bonn and is now based in Cologne . Rogério Pires has been Chairman since July 2012.

The association sees itself as a mediator between entrepreneurs, managers and freelancers in both countries. On the one hand, it wants to help Portuguese initiatives to enter the German market and, on the other hand, to make it easier for German companies to start business activities in the lusophone world, especially in Portugal and Portuguese-speaking Africa.

First and foremost, the association offers support in legal , bureaucratic and intercultural questions, in addition to services such as translations or the placement of workers . Occasionally, the VPU publishes a Portuguese-German business directory in cooperation with Portugal Post , which is published in Germany . The VPU is also involved in start-up initiatives in Germany.

The cooperation partners include various ministries, banks, embassies and chambers of commerce in both countries, as well as other organizations such as the German-Portuguese Society and the like. a.
