Homeownership Association
The Verband Wohneigentum e. V. (until 2005: Deutscher Siedlerbund eV - General Association for House and Residential Property) is an interest group promoting the construction and acquisition of owner- occupied residential property .
The aim is to support the creation of a family-friendly and healthy living space. With 18 state and regional associations, around 370,000 member families (as of July 2006) are organized in the association. The local association of the member families is the settler community .
The association's communication organ is the monthly membership magazine FAMILIENHEIM UND GARTEN (FuG) with a circulation of around 340,000 copies (as of 2017 ), which has been published under the current title since 1978.

The Free Workers' Association for War Settlement, founded on May 10, 1919 . V. The Dresden seat was intended to give war participants, their survivors, etc. the opportunity to settle.
The association was renamed on January 27, 1923 General Saxon Settlers Association e. V. Dresden and on July 2, 1933 in the annual general meeting again changed to Deutscher Siedlerbund e. V. Headquarters Dresden .
