The Association of Medical and Science Journalists V. (VMWJ) represents the interests of medical and science journalists in Germany.

In 2012 , the three earlier organizations “Vereinigung der Deutschen Medizinischen Fach- und Standespresse e. V. "," Working Group Medical Journalists / Club of Science Journalists e. V. "and" College of Medical Journalists "merged.

The association is therefore the oldest (founded in 1894 ) and with over 700 members the largest medical journalistic association in Germany.

Members are doctors and journalists, the editors of a medical specialist or professional journal or who regularly deal with medical or health policy topics in the public press, on radio or television.
