The Association of Participating Communities in Baden-Württemberg is used to jointly carry out tasks that are incumbent on its members (the participating communities) in accordance with Section 18 of the FlurbG. According to § 26 a FlurbG, associations of participant communities can be formed so that the complex tasks can be implemented quickly and inexpensively. The VTG manages the cash and accounting for the participant communities that have joined the association and takes on the advice, planning, tendering, construction management and accounting for their construction sites. He prepares the collection of cost contributions, creates and maintains community facilities. It supports its members in financing their tasks, for example by taking out bank loans. For members who have resigned, the VTG can continue to take on an advisory and support role in maintaining the communal facilities against reimbursement of the costs. The VTG specifically promotes the exchange of experiences and the further training of its members. Ultimately, the VTG represents the common interests of the participant communities, including in advisory boards and committees.
