Association of Protestant Trombone Choirs in Bavaria

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Association of Protestant Trombone Choirs in Bavaria (VEP) brings together around 18,000 wind players from around 900 trombone choirs of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria .

The regional chairman and his deputy head the association and are also responsible for the spiritual care of the wind players and for shaping the association's work.

The State Trombone Council is a committee elected by the representatives of the individual member choirs, which decides on the main issues of the association and determines the basic direction of the association's work.

The association operates an office in Nuremberg with a full-time managing director and two administrative employees. He is the contact person for all organizational and financial matters of the association, but also adviser of the individual choirs in these questions. The four state trombone attendees have their offices in the office and are primarily responsible for supporting the choirs as musical helpers. This is done through advice, training and the publication of sheet music.

The association organizes courses, seminars and free time for beginners, advanced students, trainers and choir leaders with practical, theoretical and spiritual content. In addition, the Bavarian State Trombone Day is regularly held, for which winds come together to spend the weekend and make music together.

The association is a member of the Evangelical Trumpet Service in Germany .
