The Association for Heat Delivery ( VfW ) is a German association that aims to promote heat contracting and energy contracting in general, i.e. the supply of heat, cold and compressed air. In 2012, the member companies achieved sales of € 2.12 billion through contracting.
History and organization
The association was founded in 1990 during a BMFT research project to develop and test a heat supply concept (1988–1991) by the project partners Heinz Piest Institute , RWTÜV and Schröder Heizungssysteme .
The association has u. a. the following working groups and other subgroups:
- Working group "savings contracting"
- Advisory Board for Technology Innovation Management
- Legal Advisory Board
VfW is a member of the Fachverband Gebäude-Klima e. V., in the working group for environmentally conscious management and at the Upper Franconia Energy Agency.
Tasks and activities
The association trains companies to become energy suppliers, ensures compliance with the standards and advises contractors and users on the implementation of the concept. Energy suppliers and building owners can become members of the association, who commit themselves to regular participation in a VfW qualification seminar.
