Wiring carrier

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term wiring carrier denotes a mechanical carrier on which line structures for wiring electronic components are applied.

The term is often used as a generalization for bare multi-chip modules and printed circuit boards . In contrast, in integrated circuits, wiring structures and components are monolithically integrated into the substrate, so that they do not represent wiring carriers in the narrower sense.

In addition to the electrical connection of the components, wiring supports fulfill other functions, e.g. B.
