Anti-twist protection

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The so-called anti-rotation (in the cabling technique also Verdrillschutz is called) is usually technically realized in that a special module or component in a more comprehensive structure is integrated, which prevents a wrong insertion or undesired rotation.

The anti-twist protection is used in a large number of technical applications, such as shower hoses , built-in electrical parts ( e.g. on sockets, switches or potentiometers for panel mounting), built-in sanitary parts and plastic horse-hoof fittings.

In the broadest sense, anti- rotation components are passive components in the field of safety technology. Depending on the application, they can serve to prevent technical defects , and in some cases even to prevent accidents.
