Association for Anhalt Regional Studies
The Verein für Anhaltische Landesgeschichte was founded on April 28, 1990 with its seat in Köthen and sees itself as the successor to the Verein für Anhaltische Geschichte und Altertumskunde (founded in 1875) and the Verein für Anhaltische Landeskunde (founded 1890). The aim of the association is to promote research on the historical territory of Anhalt .
Territorial subdivisions are local groups and district associations Anhaltischer Harz and Bernburg , Köthen and Dessau . The association is a member of the general association of German history and antiquity associations. As a scientific publication organ, the association publishes the announcements of the Verein für Anhaltische Landeskunde .
