PROGES (formerly "Association for Prophylactic Health Work " - PGA) is an Austrian health service provider. As a non-profit organization , PROGES is active throughout Austria in the areas of health promotion , prevention , therapy and training and further education. The non-profit association works independently and non-denominationally and is not assigned to any political party. PROGES is headquartered in Linz , Austria . PROGES operates other locations in Wels, Perg and Ried as well as in Eisenstadt, Klagenfurt and Vienna.

history

The association was founded in 1988 by the chairman of the Upper Austrian Regional Health Insurance Fund (OÖGKK) Helmut Oberchristl, with the aim of developing and implementing provision concepts.

On January 1st, 2015 Doris Formann took over the management of the organization.

Health promotion

PROGES advises and supports institutions, communities, companies and other facilities in the implementation of health promoting programs. The aim is to develop effective health promotion for local needs together with those affected.

Prevention

PROGES is a pioneer in dental health education in prevention work. PROGES provides children and adolescents with concrete strategies in the form of workshops, which contribute to strengthening their own body image and self-confidence.

therapy

PROGES offers physiotherapy , occupational therapy and speech therapy in two therapy centers in Ried and Perg, as well as mobile therapy. The service facility Clearingstelle Psychotherapy supports you on the way to the correct treatment. Psychotherapy is offered at over 40 locations in Upper Austria and in the therapy centers. The CliniClowns Upper Austria are also part of PROGES.

academy

With its training and further education program, the PROGES Academy supports the development of personal or professional health skills . It bears the quality seal of Upper Austria Adult Education and is an Ö-Cert quality provider.

Competence center for primary care

The federal, state and social security organizations have made strengthening primary care their goal. PROGES offers a substantiated information and support structure for the development and implementation of this new supply concept.

It is financed through donations, membership fees, funding from the federal government, the state and partners, project-related grants and contributions for seminars, courses and workshops.
