United Darhan Muminggan banner
The United Darhan Muminggan Banner ( Chinese 达尔罕 茂 明安 联合 旗 , Pinyin Dá'ěrhǎn Màomíng'ān Liánhé Qí ; Mongolian ᠳᠠᠷᠬᠠᠨ ᠮᠤᠤᠮᠢᠩᠭ᠋ᠠᠨ ᠬᠣᠯᠪᠣᠭᠠᠲᠤ ᠬᠣᠰᠢᠭᠤ Darqan Muumiŋɣan Qolboɣatu qosiɣu ) is a banner of the prefecture -level city of Baotou in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . The banner has an area of 17,410 km² and 110,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large community of Bail Miao ( Chinese 百灵庙 镇 , Pinyin Bailingmiao zhen ).
The site of the ancient city of Aolunsumu from the time of the Yuan Dynasty (Chinese: Aolunsumu cheng yizhi ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (4-56) since 1996 , the former site of the Bailingmiao uprising (Chinese: Bailingmiao qiyi jiuzhi ) from the end of February 1936 since 2006 (6-912) .
