The transporting enterprises Ludwigshafen GmbH (VBL) are the local operators of public transport in Ludwigshafen am Rhein . Together with Rhein-Haardtbahn GmbH , MVV Verkehr GmbH and Heidelberger Straßen- und Bergbahn GmbH , the company has a stake in Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV). Since the RNV took over the operative business of the so-called "parent companies" in March 2005, the VBL no longer appears as an independent company.
