history

The company emerged from the city tram office.

In 1974 the MVG was incorporated into the Mannheim supply and transport company with limited liability (MVV) (later MVV GmbH ).

In 1993, the MVG began with the "B-Line" via Lindenhof to Neckarau-West as part of the " MVG 2000 " concept, its largest new building project since the Second World War.

On October 1, 2004, MVV Verkehr AG founded the joint subsidiary Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV) together with MVV OEG AG, HSB, RHB, VBL and the Mannheim Central Workshop. The vehicle fleet was brought into the RNV, the existing employees made available by way of temporary employment.

The MVV OEG AG was merged into the MVV Verkehr AG on March 16 of 2010. On April 21, 2010, this was converted to MVV Verkehr GmbH and moved its headquarters from the Augustaanlage to Möhlstrasse.

On January 2, 2018, the company was renamed MV Mannheimer Verkehr GmbH .
