Traffic law arrangement

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A traffic law order ( VAO for short ) is issued in Germany by a road traffic authority and contains instructions and requirements for traffic safety for work on or next to a road (so-called work place ). It must be applied for in any case if the work affects public road traffic ( § 45 Paragraph 6 StVO ). In addition to the description of the job and the planned work, the traffic law order also includes information on the duration, the required signage and marking and the designation of a responsible person.

The traffic law order must be applied for in good time using a corresponding form with the enclosed traffic sign plan and must be implemented precisely. Deviations, for example in the signage, are not permitted. The approved period must also be adhered to exactly; if this has expired, an extension must be requested.
