SCC68070

Philips Semiconductors (now NXP Semiconductors ) had developed the SCC68070 based on the Motorola 68000 , which had integrated additional functions such as DMA controller, MMU , UART , 16-bit timer and I²C interface. 16 MiB of external memory could be addressed.

The Philips SCC68070 was often used in multi-media systems (e.g. in the CD-i ) with the SCC66470 as VSC (video and system controller).
