Verktum was an old Swedish measure of length and was the so-called Werkzoll.

It was a measure according to the duodecimal system and was used every day. In general, the measure was divided into half, quarter, eighth and the work line ( Verklinia ). There was also the less common decimal division. Tum stood for thumb, inch .

  • 1 verktum = 0.0247 meters
  • 1 photo = 12 verktum = 144 rulers = 131.615 Parisian lines = 0.296901 meters

The small dimensional chain was

  • 1 Famn (thread) = 3 Alnar ( cubits ) = 6 Fot ( feet ) = 4 Quarter = 72 Verktum
