The publisher Angelika Hörnig was founded in 1996 to the need for literature and more information about the topics arrow and bow comply. The magazine Traditional Archery was first published in July 1996 and today (as of May 2013) is Europe's largest specialist magazine in this segment with a print run of 15,000 copies.
With the Practical Handbook for Traditional Archers by English bow maker Hilary Greenland, the first book was published in 1997, a translation of the English Practical Handbook for Traditional Archers . The book became one of the most important basic books, as it was the first publication to contain concrete, practical instructions for making things like yourself. B. Bows, sinews and arrows contained (13 editions, also in French).
Further specialist books followed in-house. The so far best-selling title Das Bogenbauer-Buch combined historical information with instructions and measurements for the first time.
