The registry office publisher is a specialist German publisher based in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin .

history

The publishing house was founded in 1924 in Berlin as the »Publishing House of the Reich Association of Registrars of Germany« by Alfred Metzner and has been called »Verlag für Standesamtwesen GmbH« since 1931. The history of the publisher is comprehensively presented in the commemorative publication for the 75th anniversary.

Publishing offer

The literature program includes specialist literature on civil status law , works on foreign and international family law , German and international naming law , nationality law , as well as local registers and others. The journal " Das Standesamt " has been published since 1875. Since 2000, the publisher has published a large number of its publications in both printed and electronic form.

In 1982 the publisher also began developing user software. The most important product is AutiSta, a specialist application for registry offices that is now considered the standard. AutiSta is the only application that can be used to make entries in the electronic civil status register . In Section 3 (2) of the Civil Status Act , electronic registration is required. Therefore AutiSta is used in all German registry offices .

The publishing house has been working with the professional associations of registrars in Germany and Europe since it was founded . The family company , to which Wolfgang Metzner Verlag belongs, is run by the third and fourth generations of Klaudia Metzner, Anna Metzner and Dr. Günther Metzner led.
