Nowa Wieś Kętrzyńska (2009)

Nowa Wieś Kętrzyńska (German Neuendorf ) is a village in Poland in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . The village is located in the powiat Kętrzyński in the Gmina Kętrzyn (rural community Rastenburg ).

Geographical location

Nowa Wieś Kętrzyńska is located in north-eastern Poland. The north of the village borders directly on the town of Kętrzyn . To the south of the village, about two kilometers away, are the villages of Windykajmy and Nowa Wieś Mała.

history

The village was localized in 1372 with an area of ​​31 hooves according to Kulm law . In 1818 the village consisted of 25 houses. In January 1945 the Red Army took the area and as a result of the war the area became part of Poland. In 1949 a kindergarten was established here, one of the first in the area.

From Kętrzyn in the north, a road leads through Nowa Wieś Kętrzyńska. The road branches off to the south of the village. The western road leads to Windkajmy, the eastern one to Nowa Wieś Mała and on to Sławkowo .

The village does not have its own rail connection. The nearest train station is in Kętrzyn. From there the PKP offers direct connections to Olsztyn and Poznan .
