Henrykowo ( German  Heinrichssorge ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . He belongs to the Gmina Kętrzyn ( rural community Rastenburg ) in the powiat Kętrzyński (district Rastenburg ).

Geographical location

Henrykowo is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , eleven kilometers southwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ).

history

When Heinrich concern it was originally a large Vorwerk that the Gutsbezirk Laxdoyen ( Polish Łazdoje belonged). It was in the district of Rastenburg in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . The small town had 11 inhabitants in 1820, 27 in 1885 and 20 in 1905. On September 30, 1928, the rural community of Bärenwinkel ( Barwik in Polish , no longer existent) and the Laxdoyen estate with the Vorwerk Heinrichssorge formed the new rural community of Laxdoyen. As such, she came to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war with all of southern East Prussia . The village Heinrichssorge received the Polish name form "Henrykowo" and is today a village within the Gmina Kętrzyn (rural community Rastenburg ) in the powiat Kętrzyński (district Rastenburg ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Heinrichssorge was parish in the Protestant Church of Bäslack ( Polish: Bezławki ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union until 1945 and in the Catholic Church of Heiligelinde (Polish: Święta Lipka ) until 1937 , then in the parish of Wilkendorf ( Wilkowo ) in the Diocese of Warmia . On the Catholic side, the reference to Wilkowo still exists today for Henrykowo, whose Protestant residents are now orienting themselves towards the Johanneskirche in Kętrzyn in the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
