Sealing stands:

  • in the post and goods for the attachment of a label or a seal , especially in transport across national borders
  • in the field of religions for the sealing (religion) , a sacrament within the denominational group of the apostolic communities
  • in spatial planning for surface sealing , the more or less watertight sealing of more or less large parts of the earth's surface
  • in construction for the coating of materials in order to prevent substances from entering or escaping, see also waterproofing of buildings or sealing of joints
  • in dentistry for fissure sealing , a coating on teeth to prevent tooth decay
  • in the legal system for attaching a pledge seal as part of a foreclosure by the bailiff
