Distribution time recording

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A distribution time recording or distribution time study is a REFA method for determining the average distribution times in a company. It is carried out in the following steps:

  1. Prepare and carry out the distribution time recording
  2. Calculating the individual times
  3. Allocation of time types to process sections
  4. Sorting and totaling of the times per time type
  5. Carrying out and evaluating further distribution time recordings
  6. Compilation of the time type sums
  7. Formation of target times for each type of time
  8. Transfer the target times to the results sheet
  9. Calculate the distribution time percentages

The following results are calculated:

  • The sum of all observed or when shooting set times for personal interrupt as personal distribution time V p with
  • The total of the times incurred in which the work was arbitrarily interrupted by the employee or in which additional activities caused by the worker were carried out as the time N which cannot be used
  • Additional, order-related ( ) and non-order-related ( ) activities that the worker has not caused, longer lasting, extraordinary disturbances ( F - shorter, calculated ones ) of the process as well as out of use ( ) are collected during the recording and reported as . F remains separate from it.

The N and F times shown are not included in the distribution time surcharge, as they are not related to the base time. But: They are clear starting points for eliminating weak points in the workflow and work system . The F-times also form a data basis for capacity planning in order to determine which capacity failure is normally to be expected.
