Administrative community Saale-Elster-Aue

With the establishment of the unified community Schkopau heard on 1 January 2005 , the administrative community Saale-Elsteraue to exist. In addition to Schkopau, the formerly independent municipalities Burgliebenau , Ermlitz , Korbetha , Raßnitz and Röglitz belonged to this administrative community with a good 10,000 inhabitants in the Merseburg-Querfurt district . The largest industrial company is the chemical plant belonging to the Dow group, the successor to the former Buna works .
