The administrative community Striegistal was an administrative community in the Saxon district of Mittweida . In it they had united the two communities of Striegistal and Tiefenbach to handle their administrative business together. With the incorporation of Tiefenbach into the municipality of Striegistal on July 1, 2008, the administrative community was dissolved. The administrative community extended over an area of ​​87.02 km². In it lived 5555 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2006). The seat of the regional authority was the Tiefenbach district of Etzdorf. The last administrative chairman was Armin Zill.

The area of ​​the former administrative community is located in the northeast of the district, about 17 km northwest of Freiberg and about 10 km east of the district town of Mittweida . Scenically it is located east and west of the valley of the Great Striegis in the Erzgebirge foothills . The federal road 169 leads to the west of the community area through the Striegistaler district of Arnsdorf. It is also on the south running the municipality 4 motorway connection Berber village to achieve. The Riesa – Chemnitz railway runs through the community area.
