Administrative community Thale
In the administrative community of Thale in the Harz district , four municipalities originally joined forces on January 1, 1994 to deal with administrative matters. Since the incorporation of the communities Weddersleben and Neinstedt on January 1, 2009 and Westerhausen on September 1, 2010 to Thale , the administrative community has been dissolved. Most recently, 19,119 inhabitants lived on 120.21 km² (as of December 31, 2008). The last head of administration was Thomas Balcerowski.
