The Vespa P80X is a scooter built from 1981 to 1986 by the Italian manufacturer Piaggio .

The Vespa P80x is part of the series nuova linea (New Line), also of the 200 E Vespa P belongs. Colloquially, the P80X is also known as the PX80. The Vespa P80X was later replaced on the market by the Vespa PX80E Lusso.

design

There were two versions of the Vespa P80X. The first version was offered on the German market until mid-1982 and had an external side hood lock. The axis of the front head tube had a diameter of 16 mm. In the second version, which was available from mid-1982 to 1986, the side hood lock was located under the seat bench and the axis of the front head tube had a diameter of 20 mm. This type of model is also known as a “hybrid model”. The direction indicators were located in the leg shield and in the side panels.

engine

The engine was equipped with a cylinder with a bore of 46 mm and a stroke of 48 mm. A Dell'Orto SI 20 / 20D served as the carburetor. The engine developed 5 kW at 6000 rpm.
