The VfL Braunsberg was a short-lived sports club in the German Reich , based in the Polish city today Braniewo .

history

For the 1943/44 season , VfL was promoted to 1st class in East Prussia . At the end of this season in the district group A Königsberg , the team was able to finish season A with 4: 4 points in second place. In the 1944/45 season , all clubs that could still participate in the game were divided into the Gauliga East Prussia . After two game days, the team was already playing at an end due to the progression of the Second World War . At this point the team was in eighth and last place with 0: 4 points. After the annexation of East Prussia by the Soviet Union , the association was forcibly dissolved.
